AsiaFlux 2026 Training Course
Overview
The AsiaFlux 2026 Training Course is designed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in Eddy Covariance (EC) techniques, environmental flux measurements, data processing, and ecosystem applications.
The course combines classroom lectures, software demonstrations, field visits, and hands-on instrument setup led by internationally recognized experts from universities, research institutes, and Campbell Scientific.

Course Structure
Day 1 — Monday, November 23, 2026
The first day focuses on the fundamentals of eddy covariance measurements, including atmospheric turbulence, instrumentation, tower installation, data acquisition, flux processing, quality assessment, and the latest technological developments.

Day 2 — Tuesday, November 24, 2026
Participants will choose one of two parallel morning sessions before joining the afternoon field activities.

Session II
- Eddy Covariance Applications in Natural Ecosystems
- Eddy Covariance Applications in Urban Environment
The afternoon includes:
- Field trip to Bang Kachao Experimental Site
- Flux tower field tour
- Open-path Eddy Covariance System demonstration
- Closed-path Eddy Covariance System demonstration
- Hands-on instrument setup and LoggerNet operation
Hands-on Training
Participants will gain practical experience in:
- Setting up open-path eddy covariance systems (IRGASON)
- Setting up closed-path eddy covariance systems (CPEC310)
- LoggerNet operation
- Reviewing real-time measurements
- Data visualization
- System diagnostics
- Flux data interpretation
